OVERVIEW

These four classes cover the fundamental skills needed to succeed in the dynamic would of the gaming industry. Taught by industry professionals, you will learn the required skills game artists should know, using 3D Studio Max, a cutting edge software program used in the gaming industry.

COURSES

• Gaming I: Modeling for Games  |  Various methods of modeling will be demonstrated using 3D Studio Max’s highly advanced toolset. Attention will be focused on workflow and quality models to be used in a game engine.
• Gaming II: Texture Mapping  |  This course will show how 3D Studio Max and Photoshop are used to bring your models to life, using dazzling color and texture mapping techniques.
• Gaming III: Animation  |  In this class students learn a variety of animating methods, including inverse and forward kinematics, and Character Studio to bring your models to life. Create animated loops for gaming or free animation for movies.
• Gaming IV: Individual Project  |  To complete the Gaming Certificate, a fourth class is required. It is an instructor aided independent study, and consists of and individual project. This will require 6 meetings with the instructor, outside work by the student, and will be evaluated by the instructor. Meetings with the instructor to be mutually arranged.

TUITION

$395 for each class, $350 for independent study class $1250 for all four classes comprising certificate
