Start a Career in Real Estate! Step one is taking the required 60 hours of fundamentals of real estate, preparing you to take the salesperson’s exam. These are also great courses for those not interested in real estate sales, but who wish to become a knowledgeable buyer, seller, or investor.

OVERVIEW |
The courses offered by Seattle Central in real estate meet the requirements of the Department of Real Estate for qualifying to write the real estate sales licensing exam. BOTH Fundamentals of Real Estate parts I & II are required, totaling 60 Clock hours.

INSTRUCTORS |
Sheridan Schaffer has been active in the Seattle real estate field since 1981, holding both a general certification as a real estate appraiser and a license as a real estate salesperson. She is a Nationally Certified Instructor of the Uniform Standards of Real Estate Appraisal Practice, a contributing editor for Rockwell Publications (publisher of the Real Estate Fundamentals textbook) and has been teaching real estate subjects in the Seattle Community College system since 1992.
